IGT S+ Triple Diamond Not Working

Help! Machine was working fine, then stopped!


Coin comparator light not on.
Blue light on candle flashing quickly.
Not accepting coins.
No codes showing on front of the machine.


Hoping for some ideas of where to start on troubleshooting. Thanks!

The top light means the door has been opened and will turn off when a credit gets played. The c/c light is not on when the door is open. I'll post a pic of a power connector on the mother board that geta a burned spot. Sometimes unplugging it and then back on will make it work. But it needs to be fixed or it will happen again. The burn spot is on the back side of the connector. So it's turned around in the pic.

Are the displays on at all (most important = coins played)? 

If so: 

• try replacing the sample coin
• Jiggle the sample slider several times, then shut/latch the door till the display comes on and try another coin.  (may take several tries)
• clean the comparitor optics.
• turn down the sensitivity on the comparitor pot.
