Do you show any numbers in the door displays? You could have a bad white molex plug connection on the mother board. This is a 6 pin plug, and is common to having a pin over heat and turn the plug dark brown. You would need to remove your hopper to inspect the connection..
Please remember to make a donation to NLG for mine/our help in repairing your machines problem.. Your donations help keep this site on line.
And remember...
If it's jammed, force it.. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyways...

The computer won't run when the molex connector is smoked so it would not accept coins. which handle switch did you bypass? The one on the handle coil or the one on the micro switch in the handle housing? several things come to mind. Light and microswitch wiring in the wrong posts on the button harness, the micro switch on the handle assembly, bad board or blown trace on the mother board.

I took the mother board out, all connections looked good and good on the plugs also. I jumped the micro switch on the handle .
The game seems to start normal when you put the power on , the reels spin and then the display lights up with a 5 as that is for the 5 coins I put in, the handle pulls down but nothing happens, wires look right as I don't see any thing wrong. alarm goes off when door is open so I think the optics are good.  I can't see any thing that looks bad. Could it be the mother board?

when you say jumped the switch, do you mean you tied it off? Or are you jumping the switch after coin in? My guess at this point is bad driver on the board or your wiring loom going to the buttons and buttons lights have some of the connectors switched.
