New Guy, New Machine, Need some help????

Hopefully I am posting this in the right place, I bought a Double Diamond machine today, it works, but it only allows plays with coins, all pays are in coins. I have done some research, I think it should operate on credits as well, but I cannot figure it out. The machine came with a manual for S Slot and S Plus, but I am not sure which one it is. I believe the machine went through an aftermarket company here in Vegas, as it has a tag for gamblers general. All I really want to do is set it up to play credits if it can. I have attached a couple photos to help identify what I have, I can take additional if needed, just need to know what to take pictures of.

It's a S+ machine.  Try pressing the cash/credit button.  When it's illuminated credits should go to the credit meter.

You need to look around for more loose coins.
Loose coins have killed plenty of MPUs.

I looked and found like 3 last night, guess I missed one. I am confused, the buttons on mine do not list credits?

It appears I fixed it, i looked at the cheat sheet from here, I was able to change the 5 option, and while it will only accept 2 quarters at a time, the payouts are going to credits now.

It's normal for the machine to only accept coins up to the max bet (in your case, 2 coins).  You could change the SP chip to one that supports "Montana credits" and that would allow you to keep loading in coins, with the additional coins (beyond the first two) going to the credit meter.

Actually, I just stumbled on another one. So it is accepting credits, and I went and got about 75.00 in quarters to feed into it, and things were going good, and suddenly I had a 100 credit payout spit quarters, then the next few smaller ones were fine, then a couple more, for some reason it will not let the credits go above 300?

You need to raise the credit limit.  With no credits on machine, press white button until you get a 7 in coins played.  Raise from 300 to whatever you want using spin button and jackpot key. Dipswitches 1 & 2 on mpu board must be on.

The SP (program) chip you have in your machine determines how settings are changed, and if the DIP switches are even used.  Can you tell us what SP chip you have in your machine, and one of us will send you the PSR (Program Summary Report) for your game, which will help with changing game options.  If you also post the SS (reel) chip number, we can send you the PAR sheet for that as well.

Sorry for the delay, I missed a couple responses. I was able to find the dip switches and set them correctly, so I was able to change the credits. I can still only put 2 coins in, but the credits now go up to 5000. I looked at the data, but I think I got the wrong info, my screen flashed 4244 and 0872 on screen 4, and I could not find a matching input on the link listed, maybe I did something wrong?

You found the correct info.  You have SS4244 (94.014% 2-coin Double Diamond) and SP0872.
