So when Im playing a game and i hit the cash out button, but nothing happens. I did hot wire the motor on the hopper and that does in fact work.

Is the cash out button wired up ?

Many home people pull the wire from the bottom of the button to stop a cash out.
Some people also set the bill validator to a 1c denomination despite the machine using quarters.
That way they can quickly load up the system with credits.

The button is def hooked up..when I press it, the machine act's like it's going to work, but does not activate the hopper...eventually says hopper empty. I bench tested the hopper motor and it works great.

Slot machines are like that. I put a quarter in, it looks like its going to pay out but then it doesn't.   :rotfl:  Story of my life.

This is posted in the Sigma section, so I unfortunately don't have any useful information to offer.
What is the make / model and maybe one of our other members can jump in here.
