Can you help identify this slot machine?
« on: February 10, 2020, 08:17:06 PM »
Hi -

New member here.  I just acquired a Bally slot machine and I am trying to identify it.  Unfortunately, there is no 'model number plate' attached to the machine.  Please see attached photos.

Thanks in advance for all your help!   :thank_you:

Ron

Does it have any paper tags hanging anywhere on the wiring harness? Look in the top box as well. Also look on the 3 vertical wiper boards behind the reels. Often under the top two row of rivets a number is stamped in black. It's a wide body EM so probably 900-1000 series. I'm sure someone here can ID it.

Thanks for your help!  Closer examination reveled the following:

Behind the Topper:
  Ca-1056-16B in black lettering
  809 in black lettering
  822 handwritten

On the coin mechanism:
    110-5 cents on printed label

On a wiper board:
     1090-21 handwritten

Does this information help?  It worked great before I moved it to a new location yesterday.  How coins just fall directly through to the outside bin.  Any idea where I can find info. on how to diagnose this type of issue?

Thanks Again!

Similar design as the wide reel machines 1088 and 1090.Surely someone has the same type of machine and will know the exactly what model it is.In the meantime look for ID markings on all the unitsMost commonly found on the front of the hopper, reel mechanism, wiper boards, odds unit and or light boards.

How was the machine moved? Hopefully upright. I'd start by looking at the fuses down below behind the hopper. Look specifically at the 50V fuse. Report what you find and you'll get plenty of help here.

Check the fuse that protects the 50 volt circuit. Make sure all the units are pushed in all the way.The handle release mechanism on the right side of the machine can be manipulated to cycle the machine. On the top of this unit is a release lever sticking up out of the gear box. It can be pulled forward allowing the handle to be pulled. This may reset the machine.
