MK6 Clear/set procedure
« on: May 12, 2020, 11:45:14 AM »
I have a MK6 MAV 500 that I would like to change the percent payout on.  The logic board is not an extended board.  From the door side of the machine, the chips appear to be in the following order.
System Chip 1.03.12  U70            System chip U83
blank chip holder                         blank chip holder
Game Chip U72                           Game chip U85
Game Chip U73                           Game chip u86

Before I screw something up, I am guessing that I need to remove U73 and U86  and replace them with U3 and U2 set/clear chips respectively.  Turning on the machine with the logic door open will then get me into the setup mode.  Is that correct???  My wife will kill me if I mess her machine up!

No.They go where the system chips are.Or you can leave the system chips in and put the two chip piggy back board with your clear chips on instead if you have the xp board.
One warning....these are not easy to set up after cleared!!If you are just changing the percentages I would not do it.
