Need some questions answered on the Enhanced board please!

Ok well as most of you know I recently bought out my slot guy & have been swimming in slots for a few months. I have moved on to the s2000 machines about a month ago & have been basically doing the 500 series boards with 3 reel games. I have finished those (pretty much) & have now moved on to the 5 reel 9 line games. I have 6 triple stars & grabbed two today to work on them. One of them took the 1270 board & I got it running, the other one has a different motherboard with a larger second connector on it which seems to match up with the enhanced board. I attached a pic to make sure im going to do this right.
My first question, will this board work with a 5 reel 9 line? I assume it will from the reading I have been doing on here.
My next & more important question is: Can I simply add the base, same GME chips & version chips? Can I leave the DISP & GME 3 & 4 sockets open? I wanted to verify this as I have NOT tested any of the enhanced boards & want to make sure im doing this right before I attempt it.

You will need the DSP or you will not have sound. The GME3 & 4 sockets are very rarely used. You will want SG000523 or 598 chips for most games. SG0003xx will work on those but you will get reel tilts at boot up. 5 reel games with free spins will need SG000597. Obviously you will need the version and base chips. Use VS011xxx. If you remove the Varta, clip U16 or it will not boot.

THANKS RB!!! I will give it a try tomorrow!! Im glad you said about the sound chip or I would of been pulling my hair out wondering why there was no sound!!!!!
