Bally S6000
« on: August 02, 2014, 06:00:12 PM »
Hello, I belonged to this site a couple years ago and you guys helped me out a lot. I just picked up a Bally s600o that had errors codes. I did a soft and complete ram clear and now just have a code 31, the thing is the machine doesnt have a hopper, do i need to get one or can this is bypassed or hopper disabled? it is set up to only take bills, no coin comparitor in it.

Thanks,

Chuck

I found an old post that had a picture of jumper wires and i was able to get it going. Is there a list of the codes and what they do in the menu setup? With the hopper wires jumped i hit the print ticket with 400 credits the bell rang and it counted down 32 credit payout but didnt print a ticket. the 400 didnt change and i had to push the reset and it did the same thing. I had to soft reset again. I am not sure if the print is set to print or not.

6000's that have "Mains U28 & U43" newer than 2003 will not print tickets, will only Hand Pay.
I f you Google Bally 6000 manual you'll find all the set up info. You may even find it here in the download section.
If it ain't broke.....Stop trying to fix it.

I went throught the manual and have it set up for just ticket printer. with credits on the machine and i hit the print ticket button the bells and music go off and no ticket prints. I did the test in the manual to print a demo ticket and it does. is there another setup i missed?

Yes, I do not know what year the U28 and U43 chips are from, I am sure they are not originals.

The reason I was thinking I missed something was the guy I got the machine from said everything was working including the printer before he got the 88 error. I did the ram clear and wasn't sure if it needed to be reset. Sorry if I wasted everyone's time with this.
