Have you tried a full clear?

You could also turn on the machine without the main mpu installed to see what the top box does.  I seem to remember that it will load independently.

Perhaps even try a different mpu board just to double check.   A bad board will definitely display that same error. Double check  All the eprom legs are seated and facing the correct direction-  silly,  but I’ve done it.

Good luck.  Would be a shame to lose the vision part

Can you can me what chips you have installed exactly?

Also, does your LCD boot up like this or no?

I need to see what is happening with yours...make a short video please?

You may need to install a jumper behind the RAM memory sticks next to the LCD invertor board on the LCD to see wthe boot up sequence.

Here's a boot up sequence with a NJ Version chip....they're slow...you get all the dots instead after "Please Wait...Initializing" message....>>>

I had a similar situation recently.  Machine ran fine when I switched it out to a regular S2000 game but was stuck on the initializing screen on the top monitor when changed to a vision.  Ended up being a bad power distribution box for me…

Yes...that can happen too....loses communication between the topbox lcd computer and the machine's MPU comm is on the three gray wire harness coming off of the power distribution panel box to upstairs.

The other important harness, of course, would be the ribbon cable from the power distribution panel box to the MPU.

If there's anything wrong with those (Loose, bad pin connection, oxidization, broken internal wire, etc.etc.) then the MPU never really "sees" the card up in the topbox lcd unit.

It won't finish the "Initailizing" part of the boot-up sequence.

The power distribution panel box is the one that has the ribbon cable - this box distributes COM signals as well as various power.

The power supply is the box behind the reels...that one is probably okay since everything is powering up and only deals with power.

You may have a COMM problem (which could be chip related), rather than a power problem...
