Hello all,
me and my wife bought a 5 times pay 3 wheel slot machine. Knowing nothing about them except to pay them. The guy we bought it from said that it work but needs to be cleared from a big winner and he did not now who to do it. did not have the time so that is why he was selling it.
after going to this site and find out how the clear the machine. We notice the display for coin and winning do not light up. I have read some post and shut off the machine and when it come back on. the bill counter make noise but that is it. I don't know anything on this machine. beside it is my wife favorite one when we go to Vegas.We would ready like to fix and use it. Can anyone help.

Ok - lets start at the beginning - Welcome to NLG

If you get a big jackpot win - you get something like 800 (showing 800 coin win) in the winner paid - the machine bell is making noise (if it has a bell) and it makes a clicking noise - this is called a hand pay where the win has exceeded the hopper limit, theoretically the casino comes with a big cheque and takes your picture.

The resolve to this is simply turning the jackpot reset key. You don't get blank counters and coins falling through.....so unless something happened to the machine on the way home from the rodeo .... dude didn't quite give you the straight goods.....

The folks here at NLG should get you sorted.

You said you read about clearing the machine - did you run a clear chip through the machine ?? do something else or did you just do some reading ?
Do you have all the keys ? ie you can open the door and do you have a jackpot reset key ?

Is the Denomination light on - That would be the big 25C light (5c or whatever) in the middle of the machine by the winner paid window ?

Yes, we under stand the person we got this from lied to us. I found the reset key tape in the back of the machine and turned it to try to reset the win. I don't have any rest chips. There is no led readout on the coin, credit, winner paid, no Denomination light on. like I said we would like to fix this but don't know what to do. What should I look for. or do.

I looked at the plug and it is bad. I shooked it and the display came on. and it is showing a 61 on it.
i looked up 61 and it showed bad cmos ram. It looks like I need the cable and possible a cmos ram. or what do I do?

When you get 61: press white test button until you hear a ding. You then should see 61_1 close the door and then turn the jackpot reset key one time to the right and then wait for the reels to spin. It now should be ready to accept coins.

The test button should be next the on/off toggle switch. If it is not it's on the backside of the switch panel.

ok, i got the 61 cleared. and thing to work beside I need to buy a new power cable Thanks guys, Now the quarter in not go through, and the bill counter will only take one dollar bills. any thoughts. Just to let everyone know, We appreciate all the help.

Try with older bills. It likely has not been updated to work with new bills.
What is the model of your bill acceptor.
Dbv 145, 200 ?
WBA 11, 13, 13 ?

there is nothing inside or stuck in the coin comparitor. the model Number is CC-160,150.
24VAC W/14G WGT. and the bill counter the $1 is lit up green and all the rest ECT $5, $10,$20, are all red.
I did use older bills but still not worked. What else should I look at?

See the pic. The black piece is spring loaded. Slide it to the right, put the coin in, and let it slide back to the left.

It probably has old firmware in it that doesn't accept newer bills. The last firmware released for it will accept all the current notes except for the purple 5's and new 100's

It depends on if your DBV-200 has a flash chip or an EEPROM that the firmware is stored in. If it's an EEPROM you can swap it out yourself, if it's a flash chip it would need to be sent to someone with the equipment to update it for you. You have to remove the head from the transport and flip it over to see what it has.
