Hey everyone, I have a S2000 with a WBA-12-SS bv that was running perfectly until today when I powered it up. It went through the usual start up routine except this time the bv bezel failed to light up. There are no error messages the display reads play to coins like it

Did you set your credit limits? If the credits on the machine are greater that the bill validators credit limit it will disable until the credits get below the set limit. Usually it's $3000.00 max.

Yes credit limits are set. There are 0 credits on the machine. If the bezel lamp goes bad will that cause the bv not to work?

Like I mentioned in the first post this machine had been working flawlessly for a long time and the bv works fine when placed in another machine.

Do a netplex autoconfig on it and see if that brings it back to life.

Do I need to install the key chip to access 4.3 in the menu? It goes from 4.2 to 4.4

No, you should be able to get to it and perform it without using a keychip.

I am not getting 4.3 as an option. It skips right over it going from 4.2 to 4.4

Are you turning j/p key or test button to get to menu? You must use test button.

Im not sure why I cant access the netplex auto config but while I was looking at other posts a couple of other members had mentioned not being able to access that part of the menu as well, unfortunately no fix was given

I've never ran into that problem. Perhaps it does have something to do with the fact it's a barcrest machine? What stepper game software are you running?

Here's the PSR for SG328 and it shows 4.3 as an option but states it must be performed by the operator menu (MPU self test button) like Mark said. You said that you were using the test button though, so I'm not sure why it's not working as it should. Hopefully someone that has experienced this problem and found a solution will chime in.

I suggested doing the netplex autoconfig because I've had that happen to me on a couple of my s2000's. The BV just stopped working for no apparent reason and usually the netplex autoconfig brings it back.

Thanks Tilt yes I agree I think the netplex auto config. should fix the problem. Now I just need to figure out how to get there.

Well I have it up and running again,swapped out the SG000328 with SG000362 but the machine did not like 362 so I put the original 328 back in and while it was initializing the machine ran a netplex auto config and the bv bezel lit up like a smile . . . Oh wait that was me lol. So thanks everyone Tilt,Mark Btw I am able to access 4.3 now like normal

That's really odd, but glad it's working normally again.

FYI. SG362's don't support barcrest machines, that's why they didn't work.
