S-2000 wheels spin continuously during startup

i picked up a used s-2000 that does not work. it powers up and goes through the memory test and the wheels start to spin and continue to spin. i removed the hooper and restart and the wheels go through the normal cycle and stop normally. The system turns dark. all the credits and display screen go blank with.
the board is a 1952-2. i have several questions.
1st can i take another working board 1952-0 and put in this machine to see if it boots up without errors?
2nd can i just use the 1952-0 board and take out chips from the 1952-2 board and boot up?
also noticed the candle light flash continuously

Can someone also point me to where the fuse box is located on the s-2000? is the fuse behind thuis power box? if so how to i open it up?
i took my bill box from a working machine and placed in the broken machine. i heard some grinding then nothing. i replaced the bill box back in my working machine and it blew the fuses some where. now i have 2 broken machines,
Any assistance would be a warm welcome
UPDATE old machine is working again. Still working on my new found machine.

UPDATE. i checked the 2 batteries on the board.
the varta is 4.01
the mini battery comes back at 2.94.
will the low voltage give me issues like the above post?

Are the wheels spinning when the door is open, are they vibrating and turning at half speed?
With the main door open try turning the jackpot key.
What does the vfd say or is it blank? 2.94 volts is getting pretty low should be above 3.

i turn the machine on it cycles the wheels. Then i see credits and then it all goes blank. I tried using the reset key and it did nothing.  If i take the hopper out and restart the machine the wheels will cycle like normal and then never stop.  The display will show the current amount and the credits will be displayed.  I have another board 1502-0. can i take the chips out and use in this board? the existing board is 1502-2

You don't need the yellow battery, you can just take that off.
I would try changing the 3v battery before switching boards.
Also a better photo of where the varta battery is/was would also help.
What is on the VFD(blue screen).

The yellow battery is for the Varta battery. the blue screen goes through system setup and memory check. then goes blank after the wheels cycle.

UPDATE 2  i changed the board and moved all the chips to the new board. it boots up but gives me Call Attendant now. I'm not sure if its a better sign the before. any thoughts?

UPDATE 3 i changed the board and received the ram error message. i turned reset a few time and the system seems to get past all of the other issues. the game now looks like its almost ready to accept currency.
the blue light flashes on the DBA and there is also 1 red light.
the green light does not turn on. 
I could really use the last push to get this bad boy working. Any THOUGHT?

FINAL UPDATE. i took the canister from my other working machine and replaced in the non working machine. PRESTO. the machine works great other than a few bulbs.

Send your bad mpu to Lookes for repair. It's about half the price of a replacement and he does excellent work.
