IGT S plus Tripple diamond 2 coin Upgrade or change

I have a S+ triple diamond 2 coin with progressive  (progressive not connected or working) I want to change the game to haywire or respin.
Is this option available without having to change the complete game kit. Kits do not seem to be available anywhere.
I was hoping to maybe just change the chip to get the option to work?

Again the machine works fine as is so I dont want to make things worse. Maybe only option is to find a s2000 ?

You can turn it into a triple diamond with mystery reel action by swapping out the SS to a triple dollar with mystery action SS as long as your machine is using ABC strips.

Ok apologies I read that incorrectly ABC is different in the two triple $$$ has 256 ABC and Triple diamond has  72 ABC Currently using ss4780
Does that mean the reels with strips will not work or will the game chip solve that?

Any SP that supports type 23 game will work.

The chips you can usually get as people make backups.
You can also look for a Go-Bananas kit. It is a clone of haywire.

The challenge to find any game kit is the Reel Glass and strips.
If you can get the top glass and strips you can always use a generic Belly Glass like one that says 25c.
I have 3 machines - and had Monaghans Irish Pub and Casino belly Glass made up. The cost was the getting the art work professionally done so I had 6 sheets done.
Cost me about $175 Canadian. I also had a number of plexys done for my toppers. 

The low brow approach is to print out your own top award glass. its obviously bigger (taller / wider) than your standard printer.
You can go to pretty much any of the print places with the art work and ask to be printed on Vellum. You put this between two sheets of plexy which you can get from home depot / Lowes. Vellum when its back lit doesn't look grainy like paper does.

There is also a company here that prints reel strips. You can get most strips printed on either regular (like S+) or back lit strips. If your doing other custom artwork you might consider do this this as well vs the standard haywire. Just need the same number of symbols.

With this said most of the kits for the S2000 are the same physical size as the S+
- With the S2000 they use SIMMS so you don't need/want the software unless your going to buy a S2000. In which case having these is not such a bad idea.
The S2000 reel strips the knotch is in a different place so you need to offset them to make them work right with an S+.

On Ebay right now there is a Triple Diamond Haywire top glass for a 9" listed for an S2000
