Need Help getting the right keychip
« on: June 02, 2015, 03:45:07 PM »
I have an IGT s2000 5 reel Triple Seven Redhots machine. I need to figure out what keychip version i need to program this machine. The Boot chip is RB000001 ans the Base chip is SB001000. The SS chip slot is empty. Does anyone know what keychip version I need to program this machine? 31 or 45? Thanks in advance.

You need an RBK00001, they are special key chips for R-boards.

Now I believe my problem is much worse. I was originally getting the Netplex link is down error. I changed the battery on the MPU board and got the machine to boot and work. After turning it off and back on, the dreaded Netplex link is down error is back. Cannot get it to go away by a key reset or anything. Guessing the main MPU board is bad and cannot find a 75512702 board anywhere online to replace it. This machine is driving me nuts. Any suggestions? I went through the whole machine and cannot find any loose connections anywhere.

Couple things to check would be the voltage of the green 3 cell battery under your R board and that the power supply is plugged in behind the reels so that it is snug and tight. On the board you have if that green battery is dead or bad it will sometimes throw that netplex error until the battery gets charged by the machine being turned on for a few hours or replaced if it will no longer take a charge. Also, a loose power supply has been known to throw that error also.

The battery is 3V model CR2354. I am reading it should be 3.6V. Could this be the problem? Thanks for the replies. Very much appreciated.  :thank_you:

The CR2354 should be 3V. The Green Battery that Cowboy mentioned is most likely the cause. It's a 3.6V NiMh located under your R board. It's soldered on the board.
Quality doesn't cost. It pays.

Ahhh, now I see it. A little 3.6V battery soldered in to the board. It's reading 2.34V so I'm assuming that is the culprit all along. Thank you guys so much! I will hunt online and find a replacement. :)
