Gamblers choice by United gaming mux crc failure tech support
« on: January 20, 2016, 05:51:09 PM »
I have a gamblers choice video slot game and as soon as you turn it on. It comes up with a mux crc failure. Been working fine for years. Just started doing this. Can anybody tell me what to check or replace. Are parts available for this video slot. If you press reset it just comes right back up.

Well not knowing about this type of machine, my first guess would be check for a low or dead battery. And welcome to NLG!

Well the usual reply here is to (with power off) unplug and plug back in all mpu and extra board circuits and check the power supply for a bad connection. I really don't know anything about these machines. I'm trying to go through normal fault procedures that might cause this. Is there a top box that might have a battery in it also? Doing a brain pick here.

Hey,

I may be wrong but isn't it a variation of the gamemaker that uses 17 mains and games that are  only able to play with those mains.  Uses the same clear chip I think.  Hey but I could  have totally lost it, ya know, old age, forgetfulness, duh.

Pic of the board please.

Here goes the memory thing again.   When it worked did the amount of credit be listed as "Bank"?

The last smaller board says multiplexer. I'm assuming that is the board that is bad.
