Hello all,
I hope someone can help out with this one, as I know Sigma stuff isn't popular and a lot of the masters are retired and not following this page any longer.
I've got a Yahtzee game that was working and playing fine for the last 2 months (just purchased it from a Senior Member here) and now all of the sudden I get a Hopper Empty error that locks up the machine.
I've filled the hopper, bench tested the hopper motor, cleaned the coin out optics and checked the Hopper PCB for loose connections. I know the optics work because I can get the game to give me a coin out/coin jam error when they are blocked by the tab when the coin passes through the output chute.
That's about all I can do short of throwing parts at it, which aren't available anyway.
Anyone have any other advise or places to check. I know which plug feeds the MPU, which I have also pulled and inspected, re-seated, etc.
The game boots, goes right into Hopper Empty and won't reset. I can turn the JP Reset Key, get the reels to spin then the alarm sounds again immediately which prevents me from going into the test/diagnostic mode to check operational features.
If anyone has any spare SG300 parts (MPU or Hopper PCB) or knowledge they'd like to share, I would be very grateful.
Thanks, Curtis ash100
