Atronic eMotion Deal or No Deal The Show
« on: July 11, 2020, 02:21:43 PM »
I have an Atronic Emotion that is currently loaded up with the game Mighty Miner.  I recently purchased the game chips for Deal or No Deal the Show.  On Mighty Miner I have Game EPROMS U5-U9 on the Main Board and U10-U11 with Large Security Device on the Memex Board.  Deal or No Deal only comes with EPROMS U5-U9 and the Large Security Device.  My question is do I just pull the Mighty Miner EPROMS U10-U11 from the Memex Board and leave those positions empty when changing the Game to Deal or No Deal?  Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I have never set up a game with eproms on the riser/security block board, but I would remove the Mighty Miner eproms, leave them empty...

My riser/security block board does not have sockets for more eproms required by some games.

I swapped out the Game CD, EPROMs and Security Device.   Next I went through the initial setup.  When the machine came on I got error code 01-011 and “Busy please wait (CB)”.  I cleAred the error code 01-011 by disabling the coin hopper.  I don’t have a comm board in this machine so I’m not sure about this other error.  I just have a box over the screen saying “Busy Please Wait (CB)”.  I Turned off and restarted the Machine but I have the same error.  Any suggestions?

It has been forever but here goes:
I was told a comm board was not necessary in my eMotion buy I had no luck clearing and setting mine up without that comm board.

No mention of using a RAM clear in U9 when you changed the game, but guessing you used it and that info was left out.  Your original game Mighty Miner is not a progressive game so it would not need the Comm Board.  That's probably why it works without one.  There are 2 versions of Deal or No Deal.  One is progressive, the other is not.  Most of them are progressive requiring the Comm Board and Alink software to set the game up. Unless the game is a level 12.XX game it does not use extra chips in the U10/U11 slots on the riser board.  Sounds like you have the progressive version of DOND.  Post a pic of the labels on the chip set you received and I can probably tell you if  the game is progressive or not.
If it ain't broke don't mess with it.....

I ran the U9 Reset chip again.  I noticed the first time around I didn’t get the option of disabling the Comm Board.  On my second time through the same thing happened but I didn’t accept the final settings.  I toggled some options and “Bonusing” was causing my issue.  I disabled it and as I moved back towards accepting the settings I got the option to disable the comm board.  When the machine came online I had to disable the hopper as I did before and restart it to clear the 01-011 code.  Everything is up and running as expected now.  Thanks for all the help!

I know this is a old post but I need some help.  I just acquired this machine with the stand alone version of Deal or No Deal on it.  It has been cleared and is ready to go.

My question is what type of bill acceptor would I need for this machine.  It came without one.  Will I need a special harness to connect it to the backplane?  If anyone has a working BV, case and cashbox that will work in this machine, I am interested..
