Can someone please tell me the proper way to install reel strips,,,i see the arrow on side what does that line up with or even if that matters,,,thanks in advance,happy holidays its a 3 coin one line quarter machine

On a Bally there is usually a small square bump embedded into the split the tape mounts into.
The tape normally has a square cutout on one end that fits into the bump to line up the reel.
It does matter where the tape is mounted to get correct game play.

Im not understanding the square bump embedded into split thing,,,,is it located where the tape sides slide into,,,my tape has 4 notches at end which ones do i use,,thanks and again explain that square notch location please

ok just went downstairs and did a close look at reel and i did find the bump,there are 4 notches in tape im going to assume that the nothch that has a bigger cutout is the one that fits in bump,,its gotta be cause the other notch below it doesnt fit,,thankyou for your help

Ok put strips where they go and it lines up alot better then before all symbols are in line,,,now back to the orig problem when i hit 3 of the same symbols nothing pays but if i hit a oddball lineup it pays,this is why i thought strip were off,im thinking that the machine which i bought from someone one market place had game chips in it but not orig,im thinking that the game chips are wrong so i ordered a set for that machine,if theres any other possibilities please let me know,,thanks

You are either on the right track or the 3 tapes are not on the correct reel position.
ie: tape 1 is on reel 2 instead of reel 1.

are there numbers on tape that tell you what reel,whats the secret for that thanks

Usually, right at the end of the tape, lowest number is reel #1.
You may need a flashlight to see the tape number.
