G23 Questions

Hi all. So I am finally able to afford a G23. I've never have had any of IGT AVP machines before. So I got some questions. I want to ensure the machine I get is more or less top notch as far as hardware goes. I don't want to find out the hard way that I need to up grade this, that and the other and I should of bought a different machine to begin with etc. I am reading the forums, learning and taking notes. But I figured I make a post so you all can chime in. As far as I can tell there are different CPU, Video Card, RAM options etc. What should I be ensuring the machine has hardware wise? Thanks in advance!

Have you factored in a eKey with the purchase?  Thats usually the most shocking aspect of AVP platform when you go to find out you need to make a change or something happened.  I have seen them priced from low end of $350.00 to high $450.00

Yes. I will be getting the machine with show boots, diag & e key for sure.

Mine came with 2GB memory and I added another 2GB. I am just using the onboard video on the motherboard instead of an add on video card. It does lag a little when getting into the bonus games or free spins and then lags a little exiting when done, but once it starts the spins or whatever, it's fine. As far as the cpu, I think they are standard based on the AVP version (2.0, 2.5, 3.0)
