If you start looking at the variety of games available for the AVP platform (g20/g23), there's a big argument FOR the AVP vs the older 044. To get games for the 044, you have to buy 044 flash boards for each game and you can't have them on at the same time. So the flexibility of the AVP platform as far as games are concerned far outweighs the cost of a key 7 (one time expense if you take care of it), USB Diagnostic drive. The buttons are nice when bright, but the game will work with buttons whose screens are burned out (most of my local casinos just have stickers on top of the buttons to replace what would have been on the oled screens). The LCD replacement cost is high I would agree, but you run the same risk with the 044 platforms anyway, albeit at a lower cost. I have both platforms, but the AVP gets more play simply because it has more variety of games installed. I have about 30 flashboards with games on them and the dev key which makes changing games relatively quick, but not as quick as picking the game off a menu!
