Vintage Bally Draw Poker ID & troubleshooting

Picked up this project today.

I believe it is a v5000+, but could be wrong?

No lights or life  of any kind save for a clicking from the PSU.

Cool, super clean machine.  Would be nice to get it working.

Any idea what model & PSU?

Yes, it is a V5000/5500

Sounds like PSU needs to be recapped.

I replaced the PSU.  It is a mean well RQ-85D

For anyone trying this process-  the PF wire (brown) isn’t needed, nor is the -12.

All the other wiring was pretty simple.  I used a buss to combine all the grey (ground) and connect to PSU.

Replaced battery, machine fired up. Lots of strangeness, until I  performed a ram clear.

Then perfect.  Fun old game!

Still trying to finish up the last step on this machine & unfamiliar with keypad settings.

I go to options

On 52 I chose 0200
51 I chose  1000
34 I  put 00
58 I chose 1000

Settings seem to be saving,  but still not retaining credits.

Just to clarify-  I hit enter, go to next option, then at end game twice.

Do I need to change option 27, and if so, what number is needed?

Anything else I’m missing?

I just use the settings as shown in the attached

Some of those numbers didn’t seem to match up with the v5000,

But changing 27 from 00 to 01 did the trick.

some are close, the point is to create a list of what you prefer, print it out, and stick it somewhere for future use.
