S+ door optics needed

.....I was being hopeful; cant believe it is so hard to find S+ optics?
you are right atleast it works but I still have a game down, hate to use it for a parts machine because of a bad optic....

  S+ optics WILL WORK IN AN S-2000, AND S-2000  OPTICS WILL WORK IN AN S+. Have done it many,many times. red/white wire optic goes on the cabinet,  the black/red wire optic goes on the door.  both are dc voltages,  +5vdc at the door connector, and 8/10 volts at the cabinet connector.  both green wires are ground, they should read continuity from one to the other, they get the ground from the long single plug on the motherboard  pin 19 and pin 20.  test 13 will confirm if the optics are working.

I will try one last time?
This time I will bring my working S+ optics into work and try them in a S2000.
I am lost on the fact that the machine that is down works with my known good S+ optics and my S2000 optics do not work in either S+?
It is possible that I was sold bad optics?
 
I belive you, they just are not working in my machine?
I will post what I find.

I hope someone didn't sell you bad optics.  most of the problems I've had with them are broken wires, most of which can be repaired. (especially if it is the wire that is part of the housing).

one item that will render the optic circuit from working is the belly and cash can switch  loop, it carries the same ground that goes to the optics and is usually the problem.

Yes, it is possible, and probably happens a lot.  In my opinion, it was dumb of IGT to have two nearly identical looking parts use the exact same connectors.

Problem is solved!
The issue was that of the 2 sets of optics that I bought; one emitter was bad and one receiver was bad.
I was putting them as sets and each set had a bad optic. In 20+ years I have only seen 1 bad emitter; other than broken wires.
