So I already know that you cant get new button panels.  I have tried my luck with eBay and have been disappointed with slightly used panels that are actually really scratched badly .  Finding a good non scratched panel seems pretty hard.  So my question is :  Is there a chroming facility that this community sends their parts to for  re-chroming that doesn't charge an arm and a leg?

Can you post one photo of your machine and one or two of the cash box latching assembly? It's likely something is bent a little from that door being opened and closed over time.

U2 and U83 are the same chip.  U3 and U70 are also the same chip.  Doing the initial ram clear is the easy part.  The machine settings are a lot more complicated.  The clear/set chips should have a designation on them that tells which iteration they are.  An example would be 6.03.04
