Could a bad fluorescent supply box be drawing the voltage down?

So if I was to get a new power supply and it does not fix is the old one still good? There must be more to check why volts are low .?

No, those output voltages are too low. If it happened to work with the machine it won't much longer. Usually the DC voltages start to drop as the electrolytic filter caps start failing which increases the AC ripple voltage. If you recap the power supply it should resolve that problem.

So not sure what special talent I need to do but if it is possable I am sure I could if I new what recap power supply actually was. So I guess I need a new one (you think) and this power supply is one behind reels or mpu thing that no longer has green bat.?

Recap means (re)place all the electrolytic (cap)acitors inside the power supply. You need to know how to solder/desolder electronic components and have to right tools to do it. Electrolytic capacitors, like a battery, have a polarity so you have to be careful that you don't install it backwards. It you do it will likely explode or damage another component.

Yes, the power supply is behind the reels.

My suggestion just buy a new power supply, it won't kill you to have a spare if it's not the problem. They are still relatively inexpensive. Check with one of the vendors on this site.

Ok I have tools and all the ability to do so ( what journeyman carpenter wouldn't).....but this sounds like alot to do without being sure it will so I will get another and see what happens. Thanks Anyb.ody on Here holding a power supply ? Hit me up if ya do please.

I am new to this myself, but have you tried turning the jackpot reset key? I had the same error, turned out to be a bad ground. But I had to use the jackpot reset to clear several errors and then found out I had a bad MPU.

Open the main door, the horn should go off, and the VFD will tell you what the error is. Probably a RAM error. Turn the jackpot key like henry said. Turn it until it says press and hold the self test button for 2-3 seconds. It's the one on the front of the MPU board. Then it will tell you to close the main door. Do that and wait. It will probably come up and say call attendant again, open the door and it will probably be an EEPROM error. Do the same thing as you did for the RAM error. Hopefully after that round it will spin the reels and come up ready for a coin/bill.

Had the same error, keep turning the reset key till the game starts or you can't clear the error.
