I tried to chek 3.7.1, but my machine only goes up to 3.5.  3.7.1 isnt an option.

I was sitting there thinking about what you said about wiring.   One button i replaced was the Max Bet button.  The only thing that could be wired wrong are the 2 lugs on the side.  I unplugged the button and what do you know.  I could make single bets up to 3 coins not problem.  So I reconnected the Max Bet switch but moved the side wire to the other lug, and what do you know, it works as it is supposed to.  Drop 3 coins in press Max play and your off to the races.  What is the difference between those 2 lugs?   The only issue now is that after I add 3 coins, Max bet does not light up, but if I put a $20 in works just fine.

Thanks so much for your insight to this issue.

There are three different standard top box sizes on S2000. Which do you have?  Your pic is cut off.

Those should be #86 LED replacements but it is possible those sockets are a tad too small for the wedge to fit.  I have never had an early S+.

E-86 is used for the S+, after several discussions with a lot of people (forum members) I finally figured out that the S+ is a red headed step child, but it's still ❤. I didn't want to replace the buttons, the wiring plugs are different, the buttons are larger, and it would look wankey. Keep it original is what I strive for.

Hi, Wolftalk:

Thanks for the help!  Can you give me an idea what pictures are still required?

For the group, the part numbers on the slotted wheels, left to right:
484 719, 484 718, 484 717, 484 720.  The first 2 have a "slashed zero" between the 2 numbers.

Payouts:  4 hats: 5000, 4 Bells: 200, 3 hats: 150, 3 bars: 150, 3 bells: 18, 4 blue things (plums?): 18,
3 plums: 14, 4 oranges: 14, 3 oranges: 10,  3 cherries: 10, 2 cherries:  5, 1 cherry:  3.

It's a quarter machine.

Let me know if any  more info is required and I'll attempt to provide it.

Best

Mike

Awesome! how does the CRT look? I'm very impressed with how far you had gotten it, and Chris is the man!

The CRT looks great for it's age! I'll try and post a better pic than this. At the time i took this picture, the red and black chips were swapped on the main board resulting in the color errors you see. Chris was a huge help in guiding me through the process to resolve the issues with the monitor.

The process of bringing something back to life that was thought to be junk is very satisfying
