WBA 12 Calibration Paper
« on: February 29, 2016, 10:06:04 PM »
Does anyone know where to get calibration paper for a WBA 12?  Is it something you can just download & print?

It's been discontinued by the manufacturer, I believe, since they are difficult to find now.  You cannot just print one, at least I don't think you can because the paper has to be of a specific tone.   I bought mine for like $20, but the last one I saw was selling for almost $70.  I have not seen one for sale lately.

The patriotgaming link is for cleaning cards, not calibration paper, so keep that in mind.

Thanks for the links.  I'm finding that my bill validator has no problem with bills, but with tickets I have to feed it back in about 5-7 times before it finally accepts.  Is calibration something that needs to be re-done occasionally?

If you are having ticket issues, it may be due to your TITO solution not communicating right, something loose perhaps?

Possibly...  Though due to the fact it eventually works I thought it was probably calibration.  But it seems to have no problem with bills so who knows?

I have found that if you're using "older" tickets they won't read sometimes, due to them being thermally printed. I say "older" because I have had tickets where they start to fade fairly quickly and the barcode fades enough that the machine won't read it at first, but they are less than one year old at the most. Don't know if this applies to you, just something I have encountered.

Hm...  That is a possibility.  The ticket paper I'm currently using looks pretty old (there is some discoloration on the edges).  I have some brand new tickets, I'll swap those in and see if it makes a difference.  Thanks for the suggestion!

So I thoroughly cleaned the sensors with alcohol and put in brand new tickets and I am still having problems.  It takes bills usually on the first try, but tickets I still have to feed in 7-10+ times before it will accept them.  It spits them back out even before it says "Voucher inserted".  This is a Game King 6.3 machine.  I'm wondering what I should try next...  Calibration, or replacing the sensor entirely, or something else?  When I first got the machine it worked fine, but the ticket acceptance has been slowly getting worse.  Any ideas?

Yep, I would try another head.  I went round and round on this topic on the old site.
