Alpha to Game Maker HD?

Wanting to convert an Alpha to a Game Maker HD and need to know what parts I need to obtain to do the conversion.


Software (of course)
Buttons (do I need the GM button deck or will it run without)
if so...
What other boards do I need?




Thanks for your input. I can not find an Alpha GM manual.

A cabinet is cabinet ...do you have the same cabinet as the GM HD games you've seen?


If so, the it's just a game change,


If NOT, then you may being a for a full-on mp conversion. Can you change a Chevy into a Ford? No...can you change a F150 into a F350? Probably....with enough money, almost anythings possible.

The machine I'm working on is an Alpha v20/20. I have seen GM on these.


When I try to install the game everything loads fine but I am have a USB COMM error. Just wondering what part I need.


I am also talking about Slots... not cars which I know nothing about...lol

The button deck is diff. and it uses a seperate controller board that uses usb etc.  I have not put one together but this is a fact--Have to have the board and correct setup. Coolwave this is why it will not work--it does not see the hardware on boot-up hince-error.
