payline display issue

just swapped this game...worked great before...the payline display is really flakey looking...never seen one look like this


why?


the pic didnt take quite right...numbers do show on the lines played line...its actually a 9 line 90cn double 3x4x5xpay


chips in machine: sg363, vs011nx5, sb101142

The 9 line displays are different, did it work before with a 9 line game.  The 9 line displays I have have 9 pairs of LED 88 digits, one for each payline.  I was under the impression that the type you have are for the 15+ line games.

the machine was empty except for the payline glass and the payline display...i have 2 9 line games with this display and one with the 9 2segment displays * i think thats the one you were referring to?


is there a display chip or version chip that is wrong?

It appears either the glass or display shifted. Move whichever back in place. And make sure all plugs are secure...

no...thats not the problem....the correct way that this should look like is, the top should be the lines played..below that is the credits per line played...below that is the line that wins...it changes with every line that wins..the bottom shows the credits won for each line win


the data is not getting to the display right..thats why im thinking it is a version chip or maybe a display chip

i have an extra 9 digit 2 segment display and glass....i changed the payline glass and display...it will show correctly then, i just dont understand how to make the other display work


now..i know what you all are thinking..this guy is crazy but i have another issue with this machine that i just noticed


the backlit reels are lit bright all the time and are very hot to the touch...they do a low light flash on wins...i checked ..they are xe359 bulbs...not sure if the light controller board could be wacked or something else might be wrong...

This type of line display is generally for games with more than 9 lines and usually found when using a R board also.

well..that explains that display issue...ive got one more machine with the same *wrong* type of glass and display...i wont mess with it till i find the sb chip for the game..SB100863...


anyways, on to my next project...4 times diamond
