Bally 5000???

So, all I really know is IGT reels. I've got a real winner on my hands that a client wants fixed. It's in really rough shape. Just for giggles I popped in a new battery and fired it up. 83 safe ram error. I have no clear chips or keypads etc for this machine. What will I need and who might have it? I'm tempted to send this thing back. It's REALLY rough. However, a challenge is a challenge. Thanks in advance, Ian.


P.S. Once I have what I need, I'll need additional help as far as clear steps, etc....

Badbaud is someone who should be able to answer your questions on a Bally 5000. You might want to send him a PM with a link to this thread. I know he sells the key pads, and should be able help you get it running.

Is the keypad necessary? I want to keep the spending down on this one in case it never runs and I make a simple check out fee. Plus, I NEVER work on these things. I'll send him a message though. Thanks!

I don't think it is for just doing a battery change. He can help you with the procedure to do the clear with the jumper setting on the MPU..

As promised, Badbaud helped me out. I got through the clear process easy peasy. Like....I mean....it was too easy. Thanks, Badbaud. Just need that keypad now. I have to quote it to my customer. I need him to pay at least half!
