Palos Verdes is too far? That's next door to Torrance.
FWIW, I spoke to the OP, who is listing it for his Uncle. He say the lowest the uncle will go is $1,000.
I have qualms about it at that price. It's not working, dirty and is a dime machine, which is very unpopular. I have seen the five cent and quarter machines go at auction in the $1,500 to $1,700 range, with a 15% buyer's premium. but they were working and exquisitely cleaned up. I have also a five cent machine go for $750 looking like new at another auction.
On the positive side, it is a nice white elephant to have. The case was custom made by Harrah's staff as were the inner workings to make two machines run at once. OTOH, you have to play two coins at once, the machines have no jackpot mechanisms and the highest either pays is 20 coins, so anything above that must be a hand pay.
I know you like to fiddle with things, so this would make a nice project machine for you. If you decide to buy it and don't have anything to transport it in, I'll go up with you and we can haul it back to your place in my SUV. The only catch is my back. I cannot lift it in or out of the vehicle. All I can do is shout encouragement to those who do the lifting.
