3-reel strip re-alignment?
« on: July 20, 2018, 11:49:32 AM »
Hey, I have a reel that appears to have been removed and re-stripped incorrectly. When I'm playing I noticed wrong payout and missing payout combinations. The middle reel, which appears to be the bad one, is out and I removed the strip. Someone put regular scotch tape on it to hold it and it's peeling. The reel basket has no markings or ears on it for the strip start but the strip does have one set of key holes. How do I re-align this correctly? There is a 3-slot "zero" encoding on the reel reluctor and then a set number of wide+narrow position encodings. I will get pics if needed. Thanks!

In the groove where the strips mount there is an ear that the key hole on the strip goes in. Try taking the corner of the strip and stick it in the groove on the reel and slide it around the groove. You should come to a high spot in the groove.  That is where the key in the strip goes.
