triple luck 7's display netplex link is down question

hi well i was told my game is a s2000 enhanced.i also read about my problem display netplex link is down.a lot of people said battery well i pulled mpu board.i found lots of rot and looks to be some chips blow up.should i get a new used board.the board assy no. is 7551270.thanks p.s if i get a board do i need to change any chips or should it be good to go.

A picture of the damaged area would help but it sounds like you will have to replace it. The only chips that need replaced are the ones on the memory board. You should be able to reuse your chips or possibly the whole top board. I have one ready to go with the Varta removed & new coin battery. PM me if interested.

Yea, that board is toast.
Get you a new one and
a spare as they are only
going to get harder and
more expensive to get.

You will need to move over the GME chips (2 of them) and the base chip and sound simm if you have one.  If you have an enhanced board, then they will be on a piggy back daughter card.  You should just be able to swap that into place and leave the chips alone.
