Denver Duck Reel Touch question
« on: August 30, 2018, 02:14:07 PM »
I bought an IGT Denver Duck Reel Touch slot from my local Games People Play store, and for the most part I am happy with it, except the multi denomination amounts are not what I want. I’ve seen labels that have 1, 2, 3, and 5 cent denominations on it and I think that would be better suited for this machine rather than the 25 cent, 50 cent, $1, $2 that it has now (I think this machine was in some high roller house before...lol). Is it possible to change the label and the amounts to match the new label I want? I know that I would have to clear and option the machine to do it. I wanted to know if it is possible to match the label I want. I was told by the slot tech that I could have to change the touchpad as well...

you will not have to change to a touch denom, but instead you can add a change denomination button, all my S2000 already had them installed, so i would guess if you look under your button panel you will have an unused button wire in your harness

you will also have to Key your machine to set up multi denomination

you will only have to clear it if the accounting dnomination is .25, which would be rare, usually i see them at .01 or $1.00 for a high denom game
since the accounting denom cannot be changed once set without clearing

If you have a 663 display with touch denom I believe you have to stick with that. Just get the right stcker and change the player denoms with a clear and key chip set, 224 clear and 45 key

I thought it was a Clear 97 and Key 17 that would reset the machine?

We recommend the clear 224 and the key 45 because that chip set will work on both 500 series MPUs and 1270 enhanced boards.  If you just have 500 series machines the clear 97 key 17 will work just fine. There is no benefit to change to 224/45 if that is what you have and they work.
