Limits can be changed in 3.1 machine options
Payback Percentage requires a key chip if your machine is using a Base chip that matches your theme.
SB000293 2 Credit Multiplier
SB000294 3 Credit Multiplier

if it has a SB001000 and a SS reel chip you need to get a Red, White, Blue Base Chip
You also need a key chip to change the pay table or payback percentage the only thing the payback percentage affects is the lower payouts the upper payouts do not change

The pay table is in 7.1.2 Game Selection (Key Chip Menu)
You can always look at key chip settings but can't change them unless the menu has been enabled with the use of the key chip.

Check to make sure your bill validator cash can door is completely shut.  Door open main is the main door, do you have your latch down on the door?

Since this topic is linked from the FAQ, and the question I have isn't answered here although it probably should be, I'm going to reply here in hopes of an answer, rather than start a new topic. Let me know if I'm wrong.
See attached picture, the fields are labeled with a $ sign, but the text description states "number of coins" for the hopper limit and the other descriptions are just as vague as this one. If the denomination was $1.00, the point would be moot, but I have this one set to $0.05 so it makes a huge difference.
Are these settings in cash amount or number of credits/coins?  :Scratch-Head:

If the hopper limit is set for $1,250.00 and your machine has nickels...your hopper motor is gunna die! :burningresistor: lol just saying!!

My S2000 machine is a quarter machine (0.25)
I entered "000001.00" into the Hopper Limit for the test.
I put $20 bucks into the bill acceptor for 80 credits.
When I pressed the cashout button, it paid four quarters and spit out a ticket for $19.
It did a split pay.

So the answer to your question is that the settings you enter into the boxes are in cash amount.
I'll send you my bill tomorrow!  :24:

Yeah, that was kind of my point, and I've already run 975 tokens through my hopper this evening. Now that I know what they're referencing in the settings, here's what I've changed them to.
