GK "Validation System Failure" Error, How to Clear?

I am getting a "Validation System Failure" error and do not know how to clear it. If I set the machine to hand pay it goes away, but when the printer is enabled it comes back. Game set to SAS Standard Validation, Print Handpay Receipts. Anyone know what causes this and how to cure it? GK 6.0  044 board

Try no receipt printing. No handpay validation.

Did you try printing a simulated voucher to see if printer is working ok?

Printer works fine, game plays fine, when I go in the menu, Validation System error shows which in turn causes flashing candle. Error goes away when set to handpay.I'd like to find out why enabling the printer causes the error.

Ran into this years back. If your using your printer it will show Validation System error. Don't know why. Was told to remove the bulb. That as far as I know is the only solution.

if it is saying anythign with sas validation that its to be changed to none or just standard
the 3 typical types i have seen are


system
enhanced/ standard, secure
and just standard


you cannnot use systm unless you have a titio board
you cannot use enhanced unless you have a sas host

My Choices:
 #1 No Validation
#2  SAS Secure Enhanced Validation
#3 SAS Secure Standard  Validation
#4 SAS Standard Validation
#5 SAS System Validation


I tried #1, #3, #4, all with no luck, I unplugged the candle- problem solved! When I get a TITO board for it, I'll look at it again. Thanks guys for your feedback!

If you have TITO, choose System Validation.  If you don’t have TITO, choose No Validation.


The latter will make the top light blink.  No way around that.  Take out the bulb, or install TITO.
