Ive done a search and only found one guy asking about it.


I have a wms 550 and would like to print. It looks like tito doesnt work for it but a print function would be nice. I have sourced locally a futuregen 1 printer that replaces the old seiko. ebay has ithica printers for sale.


Has anyone ever added any of these printers.


I believe I have a nxt board from what the person i bought it from says but have not verified. still researching for directions on how to see if i have one or not lol .

If your software is on CF cards, you have a CPUNXT board (also a single board solution).  If you have eproms and two boards, then you have legacy 550 software.  It is possible to add a printer to the 550.  In the original machine, the ticket was placed at the bottom of the cabinet (Replacing the hopper) and there was a modified "tray" that had the slot where the ticket comes out.  If you have NXT software, it is possible to use BETTOR TITO on your machine and have it accept tickets.  You just have to make a harness and connect it to a serial port.  I have done this on my WMS550 when it was running a NXT board.  I also had the printer bracket that went along with the printer, but not the modified tray with the slot for the ticket to come out of, so I just removed the tray to get the tickets.  You don't necessarily need the printer bracket, you can just rest the printer at the bottom and remove the tray in order to get access to the tickets.  You will need an rs-232 printer flashed with WMS software for it to work (basically a printer meant to be used on a BB1 cabinet will work).

You just need to get a printer for a BB1 cabinet, they should be plentiful.  You don't need the bracket, you just lay it down on the bottom of the cabinet.  You will need to remove the hopper if you have one.  These machine were either hopper or printer, not both.

I had to figure that out myself.  I will post a picture of my harness when I get home.  Then the settings on the machine are the same as a bb1 setting.  I'm sure there's a video in Bettorslots youtube channel on how to do that.
