what do i need to do to get my s+ to take all the new bills?

a customer wants me to upgrade his double diamond s+ to take new bills...
here is what i know....he has a jcm db45ss that wont be able to be upgraded....it only takes ones and very unhappily this thing is shot.
I guess i could put a db200? but it wont take new new 5's or 100's??


i know we are all distracted by this virus but if someone could lay out what i need to get that would be awesome!  thanks!!

S+ platform can not be upgraded to take  new   $100. You can install a DBV-200 head and go with that for the least expensive upgrade.

You can upgrade to a WBA bill unit,  it will take the new 5 and 10, the latest twenty, new fifty, and most older monies and the last 100 prior to the new 100.

you need the following: wba 12 head and transport and bezel, shelf assembly with harness, wba power supply, and a two pin connector and a wba cash can. 

hardest part to the conversion is the removal of the old cash can guide , located on the bottom of the metal housing that holds the bill unit. either remove the guide with one screw ( newer machines)  or older machines  drill out the four tach welds that hold it in place. the metal housing has to be removed from the machine to do this. start to finish ( depending on what tools you have available)  1 hour to 1 and a half. 

I have all the parts available to do this conversion.

I upgraded both of my S+ machines to WBA-12 as Jim describes in the previous post. It's the highest BV upgrade you can do on the S+.  It's a bit of work but to me well worth it.

I second that!


Jim sent me his WBA Kit and some well written instructions for one of my S+ games that was missing the BV sysyem completely, and it worked out great.


Not a real hard project to accomplish either.


That would be the best bet for your customer in my opinion, and it can all be had rather inexpensively.
