Trying to clear a backup memory cracked.
I can get the machine to the point where it gives me the option of "cancel" or "clear" I turn the key clockwise (toward "audit")Doesn't clear the ram.
I tried ram clearing on the gmem board with the switch..that wont clear it either.
All brand new batteries.

How long did you wait for the memory cracked? I've had to wait damn near 40 minutes for one of those games to go past that.

Mine keeps rebooting. It gets to the screen I posted and waits for about 30 seconds then reboots.
Did yours keep rebooting also?

No, the game shouldn't be rebooting. This is a GeneX cabinet, right? If so, try this: pull the batteries and let it sit for about 30 minutes without them. After 30 minutes, put the batteries back in and try it again.
Also, check the caps on the video card & the main board. They're known to have bubbled caps.

It is a GeneX correct.
Which batteries do you want me to pull. The ones on the gmem board? The body and door ones also?

I usually pull all 3 from the cpu. The one on the mainboard(motherboard), the one on gmem board, and the one on the small pcb attached to the outer cpu box door.
If this doesn't work, and there are no bubbled caps to replace, then you might have to get a Master Reset dongle from Aruze. We had to get one for a game that we couldn't ram clear with the method that you're trying. It looks like the blue game dongle, just remove game dongle, plug it in, and follow directions on the screen.

I tried what you said..no go.
Im going to have to get the Master Reset cassette for this one.
Have to see if anyone has a extra one that they want to sell.
Thanks for your help
If you are changing games or installing a new CPU you may need to order the all clear cassette from Aruze to do so.
