S2000 set clear problems
« on: October 21, 2020, 09:43:12 AM »
I have an s2000 tripple lucky that was a 25 cent machine.  I wanted to change it to a dollar.   I cashed out all the credits, powered down and replaced the sb chip with IVC00224 chip.
Powered machine up, then when two amber lights lit up  power down, replace the clear chip with th sb chip, powered on leaving the door open.
After alarm and ram error message, turned the reset key until press test switch displayed.
Pressed test awitch for about 5 seconds, read display message to close the door.  Closed the door, message machine type mismatch appeared.
Powered down  opened the door and replaced the sb chip with key chip 00045.  Powered machine back on  and when amber lights came on, powered it down.
Removed key chip and put in sb chip with the door open.
Set configuration 7.1 items.
I now get please select WAMM or IPC , call attendant.  I repeated the entire process, and in config I can see the option to select WAMM or IPC, but no buttons light up except for the play max credits, which backs me out of the option.  Any suggestions?  I'm stuck!

It's your SG chips that is why we recommend SG000363 because it automatically sets wamm.
You can set WAMM or IPC with the SGs that you have.
Re key with the 45 and go to 7.1.4 and set to WAMM.

Something new....  I put the clear chip in, powewed it on, waited for amber lights  powered off, replaced sb chip and powered up.
Got testing memory and ram error.  Turned brass key until press test switch appeared.
Presses test switch, closed door.  Auto config Netflix message aoperred followed by call attendant.
Opened door, and alarm and eeprom error appeared.  Turned brass key once and eelrom crc failure -0x1 appeared.  Turned brass key again and "some critical data may be lost" appeared.  Reels spun open door m appeared and machine type mismatch appeared.  Closed door and call attendant appeared along with the other messages.  Turned brass key and [ 1 Accounting ] appeared.

This thing is a rats nest.  I followed the instructions I got from the FAQ, but obviously my machine is a little different  .  Using your help and some common sense, I got it up and running at $1 per credit.   Thanks for all your help.  I truly appreciate it!
