Hey all! Thanks in advance for your help, I hope Iâ€™m in the right place. I just got a Bally 6000 Monte Carlo slot machine and it had a f88 error. I replaced the battery and did the clear chips. The machine fully cleared but now the bill validator wonâ€™t take any money. According to the seller it never did and he just played, the bet max and spin button as well as pull lever worked, according to him. I donâ€™t know how you can play without credits but there are not credits on it and I donâ€™t know how to add them without a bill validator that works. Idk if he just sold us a none working slot but, I donâ€™t know how to fix it

! The validator just makes noise when it powers in but will not accept any bills. What should I do or check? As far as I have found online, the dip switches are set correctly to enable a bill validator. Any advice would help, thank you.

Where you insert the bill, is the indicator light red or green.?

It is green. It does not have that red no symbol

The bezel on the door might not be lined up with the bill head inside, when the door is closed. On the inside of the door, loosen the screws on the bezel, close the door and you can move the bezel and try inserting a bill. Can you post a picture of your bill validator?

Should I be able to insert when the door is open? I opened the door and tried to insert it direct and it also will not take. It makes all the grinding noises though. I will post a picture tonight, thank you.
