No sound

I’m new on posting here so bare with me. I am dealing with a S2000 with a 1270 enhanced broad with a DSV00042 simm card. I have no sound from one of the speakers. Here are the things I have checked with known working parts. Top wiring harness, speaker, amplifier board, reseated all wires, DSV00042 simm, memory board, and could not find any bent pins. Any suggestions?

RB I was hoping to not pull one out of my other machines if I didn’t have to. Could it be the backplane?

Possible but less likely. Make sure the sound harness is properly seated on the backplane first (J19). I would rather change a MPU and turn the key a few times first before tackling the backplane. It is nice to have other machines to try parts from.

Thanks RB I have reseated all the connections. I have a extra backplane. Possible it could be one of the chips?

Only the DSP but never heard of one missing one side. It either works or does not.

Follow up.
Switched the MPU with good one and I have sound from both speakers.
Now I have to figure out what wrong with the MPU or live with one speaker.

Check it for bent or broken pins. If there are none, you will be better off to just use a mono harness and move on.
You can also do it at the output connector (4 pin) from the amp with your existing harness if you have the pins and
crimper to combine them. Sure you can cut and splice but that's cheesy IMO.
