Kramer's Ole reliable draw poker from way back.
« on: January 15, 2025, 11:34:45 AM »
Price for this was worth the risk. Even with the damage to the board it actually still worked. Would run a test screen and would " see " a credit added with a quarter but just the work COIN would show up on the screen and that's about it. All the button's lights are real dim. It runs an alarm when turned on but eventully stops. It plays its own ads ( showing game play ) but wont play a game. It also has a test screen ( for accounting I think ) only one button on the cluster actually changes the screen but it just goes back first screen. the  board in this one isn't original since there is a sticker on the inside wall that loooks like the one on the bosrd but the numbers dont jive. Is this board repairable? If not would I dare try another one? I found one. I dont know this one IS one of the very firsts to come out back in the 80's. and if all else did fail, the monitor in it is an LR26413 and the dead one on my CGI mahine is LR27012 It looks like the monitors could be swapped. Thoughts?

Im having issues with posting pics but I found the same exact machine with pics posted in a thread in this section  named Kramer Video Poker.  I have no way of knowing if my machine is a 3000 or not but everything pretty much the same except his has 2 coin slots, mine has one. His button covers are different then mine ( one is the same on mine ) and my board is different then his. I found a board on Ebay, of all places and low and behold it is the same exact board he has. And intel on this is next to impossible to find other then old flyers My question is can the board I posted be repaired or worth being repaired?

Pictures need to be under 1MB per photo, try adding one photo at a time, then modify the post and add another. Or use an app like Photo Compress to reduce file size. Some users email themselves with image attached assuming the email server will reduce file size. Works for some.

We really need to see the machine and a picture of the entire board from above.

So Im guessing this board is toast guys? I did find another board but now Im thinkin I mighta jumped the gun. This is a first run machine not a 3000 or 4000. I guess I'll see tomorrow, finally after 3 freakin weeks. The board I got is a Kramer 3000 board. With the acception of a few huge capacitor's Board's pretty much the same, however, nowhere on the board does it say Kramer so it isn't the original board. I'll letcha all know what happens.

Well, got the other board. Installed didn't get an alarm like the other board but video was just a scrambled screen. Of course im bummed so I brought the board upstairs in a super well lit room and found this. I dunno what would cause this, although, water comes to mind. The post Draw Poker Help thread, my machine's buttons and single coin slot drop are the same I didnt expect the boards to be the same because of the different game names. Mines called Hi-Low Double Up Poker. Could this board be repaired? It has 4 ROMS in it 3 say model 4000 one says mod 3000. my fried board has 3 ROMS in it with no intel markings of what game it is ( U12 LE, U18 LE, U31 LE ) all mine are 12 pin chips. The one pictured here the 4000's have 14 pins, the 3000 has 12. Can anyone fix this?

Are you talking about the crinkles on the conformal coating? If so that is normal. Im looking at the dark area and thinking whatever is in that section needs to be tested.
Have you proven the monitor works just to rule that out?
