you have an e-series bally - that is all the info you have provided - need to know if there is any codes displaying in the win meter (located on the top right of the reel glass).
Did this machine just stop working or did you just buy it?   If you bought it non-working there are going to be a lot of questions for you to answer - so I would take a picture of the inside of the machine as well as the door.

Do these machines have coin comparitors? Or strictly coin mechs?

I would consider looking at the battery before anything else. Most common problem with a machine just sitting for a while. Go from there. More to be revealed....

Have owned it for many years. But it quit working at least 5 years ago  it was sitting in condo I owned in tahoe.  I know nothing about slots. Other than you put a quarter in it!  Thanks.  😉

Encircled in red is the battery you need to check and probably replace. Thats the first this I would do.

BATTERY does not cause a dead machine!  power supply would be a better star - reseat the plug at the power supply - measure voltages at test points if machine doesn't come to life.

The win meter is blank. There is no power like GOS mentioned. TURN THE POWER OFF,  In the bottom of the cabinet, slide the coin tray up and out,  slide  the hopper out  and on the back wall is a power supply circuit board mounted there. The wire harness connector on the right side could be oxidized and need reseated.  Remove the connector and reconnect it. Put the hopper in and turn the power on and see if the display lights up.

Thus far GOS and Sunrise side have mentioned checking the power supply. It does appear that the
front glass is lit up but this power does not come from the power supply. The battery would not cause
a dead machine and even if the battery were to be shorted it would likely burn out the 100 ohm resistor
and the machine would still work since in most of these machines the battery is not needed. I think that
you do need the battery in progressive machines.
