Need Fixing 3200 Error

3200 error I've verify the hopper motor is working correctly and the coins and the wiper\knife free and clear.  Optical Free and clear and working on the hopper and the door.  After I push the reset and close the door.  Turn the jackpot key I get 00.  If I open the door pushed reset it goes to 3200.  And a five in the coins play box.  Also tried turning the power off for 5 minutes and same thing.Every time when I run set15 chip.  it will run for five or six Spins.  then it is back to 3200 error.  .

May be a stupid question but are any coins coming out of your hopper when this happens or can you hear the hopper running? Have you tried running a hopper test?  3200 means the coin out sensor has sensed a coin in it longer than 700msec so it thinks there is a coin stuck in the sensor.  Could be a bad sensor.

To clear a 3200, assuming your door optics are good is open and close the main door.

Why did you get a 3200 in the first place ?  Most times the hopper brake is bad and lets one extra coin be paid out. More often than not it's the spring on the brake that's off or broken.

its been rebuild spring is new

You know sitting in my back yard is a caterpillar track loader ( no tires it runs on tracks like a bull dozer ) About 10/12 years ago the engine was rebuilt, I think parts alone were around 4 grand. You know that loader hasn't moved more than 10 feet since it was rebuilt.  Here lately I've been thinking the mechanic that did the job must have screwed up. ( next time I'll do a better job )
 
Now your hopper is a lot like my loader, you may have worked on it but that doesn't mean you got it fixed. What is a 3200, extra coin paid out, what will cause a extra coin pay out, hopper brake !!

The white button is not a reset button.

To reset a S+ open and close the door.

If your displays don't blink off then on when door is closed then your door optics don't work.

It could be your SSR (Solid State Relay) is bad.

The red box near the hopper plug.

It uses two triacs in series which are turned on by opto triac drivers.

I posted this to you a couple of days ago but it got redacted by someone.

If you look at the connector the hopper plugs into you will see 6 rectangular slots and a hole towards the bottom for the guide pin.

The slots on the connector are numbered as follows

from top to bottom

7    8
9    10
   o <-------guide pin hole
11  12

If you leave the hopper out and connect to pins 8 and 9 with a normally closed push button you can simulate a coin out each time you press  the button (press it quickly so there is not another hopper time out).

Not sure if the AC voltage is getting to the hopper motor connect a 120V lamp to pins 11 and 12, if the lamp lights you are getting hopper voltage.

Use a DC voltmeter and measure from pin 10 (+) to pin 9 (ground) and check to make sure you are getting the DC voltage that powers the hopper optics.

I do not have or I do not see a red box.  But ID run that jumper with the push button to eight and nine pins.  And that's working following push it bell rings and applies coin.  I also ran 120 volts 11 and 12 pens.  And hopper running good Thank you

 Also I don't know if this has anything to do it that I'm trying to get the settings correct and menu at five 5.0 and seven I had tried 7.1 80, 7.2, 300, 7.3 9999, then I have a seven only I put 2000 in that box.  8, 0040 then I'd tried 7.1 0000 7.2 1200 7.3 9999, 7.?  2000, 8.?  0000, I'm trying to set it up for that if you win up two 40 quarters.  Anything over goes to credit.  Maximum payout 40 quarters.  All bills goes to credit

also on the hopper optical I replaced it with a new one but the old one had three wires in the new one has four where does the white go.?

Usually, and don't quote me, the white is the receiver, red is transmitter, green is common with black.

 I don't have a black one I have white green red yellow where can I put a white one it sounds like I need it

Here is a wiring diagram.  Wiring color code is the same as resistor color code for IGT.

1 = black
2 = brown and so on.

so a wire number of 21 would be brown with black stripe.

20 would be a solid brown wire.

  I was hoping on a small clue like an arrow :)where goes and it looks like I need a electrician somebody that is qualified and I was comfortable with it as long as it stays on the hopper skid.  the other optical only had three wires and it worked good.  Till the end it only had green yellow red that was all it worked great.

 Like2know  Let me ask you , do you ever think about what you post ?  Now your saying you had a good set of 3 wire hopper optics and change it to a 4 wire optic. Now yo want one of us to tell you where to connect the 4th wire. I just took a look at the 3 S+ machines I have in the house and all three of them have 3 wire hopper optics. Now has it ever crossed your mind that just maybe you have a set of 4 wire hopper optics that was designed for some other machine.

 I bought it from rudystealdeal the picture looked exactly like the one I had when I got it is the same thing except one extra wire other than that I can't tell the difference
